A madman was running loose at Valli Produce in Loves Park today but all for a good cause it was the lions club grocery grab.

Two hundred people bought tickets to get a chance to participate in the two minute supermarket sweep. The winner, Machesney Park resident David Lowler got the chance to run around the store, throwing items into his cart. Everything he got he keeps! But Lowler threw in a twist this year and decided to donate his entire winnings to local charities.

"My dad told me once is what you have to do is give back to the community some that you received and I had things from boy scouts and baseball. I grew up in Loves Park and the Harlem School District and that's what he said you have to give back some that you get too."

The money raised from the raffle tickets will go to Lions Club. It's main goal is to help sight and hearing impaired in our area.
