ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- Rock County deputies believe the driver of a truck that slammed into a van in Rock County over the weekend, was drunk and may have been drinking during the crash.
Miguel Benito is facing OWI charges. Investigators say he was driving down Townline Road near County Highway G when he ignored a yield sign and hit the van, causing the truck to roll multiple times throwing the two men out of the vehicle. Both were sent to the hospital and are facing similar charges. The driver of the van is expected to be OK.
The crash happened around 1pm Sunday afternoon. Police say a truck and van collided on Townline Road and County Highway G in Rock County. Deputies say the driver of the truck didn't yield to the van that was going through the intersection. The truck rolled numerous times, throwing both the driver and passenger out of the vehicle; they're listed in serious and critical condition. The driver of the van also went to the hospital. Police believe the driver of the truck had been drinking before the accident.
