3 Hospitalized After Crash Near Janesville

ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- Three people are hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash near Janesville Monday afternoon.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, a Toyota Prius struck a motorcycle on I-39 southbound at Route 26/Milton Avenue after 4 p.m. Monday. Traffic had already been moving slowly due to an earlier crash.

The motorcycle was found in the right lane. The Prius ended up in a ditch on the righthand side. The motorcycle driver, 56-year-old Philip Kee, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He is in stable condition. A passenger on the motorcycle, 63-year-old Carol Kee, is in serious condition at Mercy Hospital. The driver of the Prius, 39-year-old Daniel Creed, was taken to St. Mary's in Janesville. He is in stable condition.

Wisconsin State Police continue to investigate. Janesville police, fire and EMS assisted at the scene. Charges are pending.
