A 16-year-old Rockford teen says he was taken against his will. The alleged incident took place Friday night.
The teen says he was thrown into the trunk of a car, beaten up and then dropped off on the west side of Rockford. The teen's injuries are not life threatening but a lot of dental work will be needed.
23 News talked to Deputy Chief Greg Lindmark who is head of the Investigative Bureau with the Rockford Police Department. Chief Lindmark tells 23 News that police started their investigation when the teen showed up at a local hospital.
Lindmark says detectives have been working on the case for the past two days.
