The will and desire may be there but the means to make it happen sometimes aren't. That is a scenario many in our community had to face till they met a certain angel.
Angel Flights has helped many take-off to see a sick loved one for free. Saturday, at this Angel Flight Family Festival the “angels” otherwise known as “pilots” were thanked. The pilots fly patients to and from hospitals so they are able to receive treatment.
Elain Huska planned the event after she was flown to see her military son. She says, “They serve people out of their own hearts and private pilots provide all of this out of their own pockets. They're not reimbursed for anything so the more than people can do to raise money"
The money raised from Saturday’s event will help cover fuel costs. If you would like more information about angel flights, log onto www.angelflightcentral.org.
