Low income women got the chance to discuss testing for H-I-V and breast cancer today...at a special event hosted by the lazarus house.
Women of all ages donned shades of pink for a workshop panel hosted by Tomika Washington. They discussed the best hair and skin care...plus how to best protect yourself from diseases taking loved ones by the thousands.
"Having events like this to inform and pay tribute because we're also paying tribute to those who died of aids and breast cancer and it's important to remember those people and know what to do to protect ourselves from being in that same situation. "says Event Organizer Markuitta Washington
All proceeds from today's event benefits the Lazarus house...which helps women and children effected by domestic violence get back on their feet.
