The Dixon correctional facility has been placed on lock-down. Officials say an inmate has taken a staff member hostage Thursday just after noon. Negotiation teams are working to reach a deal. No injuries have been reported. Police say the inmate is cooperating. There are more than 2200 inmates in the facility. The Dixon Correctional Center is a medium security prison.
