A Rockford woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after a car crash on the city's west side early Friday morning.

It happened at around 3:15 in the 29-hundred block of Springfield Ave. The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department says a 25-year-old woman's car left the road near the entrance of Page Park. The car then struck a home at 2981 North Springfield. A resident that was sleeping inside was awakened by a loud crash, and went outside. The driver was transported to Rockford Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
