Speaking of money, if you have kids enrolled in an Illinois college and you make less than $200,000 a year, at least $500 could be headed your way.
Under the new state budget, families with college sophomores, juniors and seniors will be Eligible for $500 grants for each student. It's call the MAP-Plus Program. To receive the money your family income must be lower than $200,000 a year.
Also, if you've you already received 'the Monetary Award Program,' or MAP grant, you're not eligible. At least 225,000 Illinois students are expected to benefit from this new program as well as the existing map program.
