It's all in the family since two Belvidere residents are the driving force behind Chrysler's new Caliber.
Heather Waldrop is looking forward to pulling into her new job. Starting Monday she'll be making a product for the car she drives. Heather's is going to be trained for third shift at ArvinMeritor while her husband works at the Chrysler plant in Belvidere.
Right now Workplace, a staffing firm is providing employees for two major Daimler-Chrysler parts suppliers. ArvinMeritor will supply suspension modules and Collins and Aikman will provide bumpers. Heather will be one of 118 employees working third shift. Workplace is looking for more people like heather who might be willing to make a career change.
Heather says, "I was a waitress so this is a new job experience for me so that was a cool thing. I went into this trying something new, really putting myself out there and it worked."
