Police say a man shot in Rockford Sunday night is lucky to be alive. This incident happened in the 500 block of Fitch Road at about 9:45 Sunday night.

Police say a neighbor heard arguing outside his house. When he stepped outside to see what was going on, one of the men who was arguing shot him. The bullet actually grazed the victim's chest and bounced into his wrist. Police say if the victim was at a slightly different angle to the shooter, he would have been killed.

Police are looking for two Hispanic men they believe are responsible for the shooting. One is described as about 5’8”, 150 lbs, age 16-25, not wearing a shirt. The other is described as wearing a black coat and baggy pants. Both suspects fled on foot.
