Storms sweep through the stateline this afternoon and thousands are still left without power. ComEd tells us 2,000 in Poplar Grove around Caledonia are without power and another 400 in Macehsney Park.
Crews are working on the problems and will try and have things back to normal as soon as possible. Meanwhile an accident in Rockton backed up traffic on Route 2. Police tell us a tree fell on the highway and because of the heavy rain one driver hit it pushing the tree into another car. That driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. Traffic is now back to normal.
