Some of our kids ask us for them all the time, can we please, please get a pony?
You might not cave in on that one but you can give them the next best thing.
Pony camp kicked off today at Lockwood Park in Rockford. Kids five to seven get to ride ponies all week long and are taught the basics of horseback riding.
Campers ride the same ponies everyday so they can learn about it's breed, color, and characteristics.
The camp costs $90 a week but there is payment assistance for those who meet certain qualifications.
Camp meets Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm
Sessions start: July 14, 21, 28Th and August 4Th
