NEVADA (WIFR)-- A family is now safe after being stranded in the sub-zero temperatures of Nevada's northern mountains for nearly 2 days.
A group of 200 people went searching for the family after they failed to return home from a weekend trip.
The two adults and four children took a trip into the snowy mountains when the driver flipped his jeep about 100 miles northeast of Reno.
Luckily, the family was able to build a campfire to avoid frostbite.
Cell service near the crash site wasn't strong enough to make calls for help….But the faint signal did give a cellphone forensics team enough information to narrow the search area and find the family.
