UPDATE: Man Shot Near Rockford Gas Station


UPDATE: Rockford police believe Tuesday night's shooting near a west side gas station was a drive-by attack.

Luckily the victim is expected to be OK. The shooting happened just before 5:00 p.m.near the BP Gas Station on Auburn and Central. Right now no suspects are in custody. You may recall the gas station was the scene of a murder back in May of 2012. Police are hoping traffic cameras will help catch the suspect.



ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- One man is rushed to the hospital after a shooting near a gas station on Rockford's west side.

The shooting happened just before 5:00 p.m. at the BP Gas Station on Auburn and Central. Police say one man was shot and he was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. You may recall the gas station was the scene of a fatal shooting back in May 2012.

Right now no suspects are in custody. Police are on the scene investigating.
