BOONE COUNTY (WIFR) -- The legal battle surrounding a massive mulch fire near Poplar Grove is finally over.
Boone County State's Attorney Michelle Courier tells us a settlement was reached Thursday between the county and North West Pallet. You may recall back in May 2012 dozens of firefighters were on the scene for five days battling the fire. Under the settlement the company paid $4,500 to the sheriff department for overtime and $16,000 to the Boone County Fire District.
