If you're an Insight cable customer, you've probably noticed it. A $3.05 increase in your classic cable rate, insight public affairs manager Mark Bonne says the hike reflects the rising costs of entertainment production.
Insight has added 3 new networks, and dropped one, Fox Sports Net.
Bonne says every business is faced with rising costs and Insight works to keep the costs passed on to the customer as minimal as possible while still delivering a quality product.
Let's take a look at the competitors prices for the most popular packages, Dish Network is the cheapest offering 60 channels for $31.99. For $41.99, Direct-TV customers get 155 channels. Cable provider Charter Communications, which provides service for the northern part of Winnebago County offers 77 channels for $47.99.
The 3 networks insight has added are ESPN-U, Kids Sprout and the music network Fuse. According to the national cable and telecommunications association, the average monthly rate for cable in 1989 was just over $15.
