Soaring gas prices and the sluggish economy is forcing more layoffs for a major automaker. GM Motors announced today it will further cut production of its trucks and sport utility vehicles starting this summer through the end of the year. Hundreds of people are expected to lose their jobs at six GM Plants, but not the plant in Janesville. Nearly 750 workers in Janesville are already expected to be laid off next month due to slow sales. The company say with people loosing interest to buy gas guzzling vehicles the cutbacks were necessary.
