UPDATE: All lanes eastbound and westbound are now open after a crash on I-90 Eastbound west of Bypass 20.
WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) - Possible damage to an overhead sign has westbound traffic at a standstill at the intersection of Interstate 90 and U.S. Route 20 Thursday morning.
At 7:09 a.m., Illinois State Police reported a crash. Police say a dump truck with its dumper up was heading eastbound on I-90 near Bypass 20 and struck an overhead sign.
The sign stayed in place but police have closed the area to check the integrity of the sign to make sure it will not fall down.
Westbound traffic is being re-routed off at Irene Road.
