Severe Storms Rumble Across Northern Ill., Southern Wis.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) - After severe storms hit the Stateline late Sunday night, over 150 people in the area are still without power.

According to Commonwealth Edison, 132 are without power in Winnebago County as of 7:30 a.m.; 114 are experiencing power outages in Rock County as of 7:30 a.m. At about 5 a.m., the number of people without power in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin totaled at about 1,000.

In Rock County, Wisconsin 11 has been closed from Wisconsin 213 to Old Highway 11 since 9 p.m. Sunday night due to a utility emergency. Rock County Sheriff's deputies directed traffic throughout the night. They don't expect Wisconsin 11 to re-open until later Monday morning.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department has also reported tree limbs down along Gleasman and Freeport roads. In Machesney Park, a tree fell into a garage.

According to the Winnebago County 911 Center, the tornado siren was pulled Sunday night due to reports from the Davis volunteer fire department of a tornado touchdown. No tornadoes were confirmed in either Winnebago or Stephenson counties.
