UPDATE:Woman Shot on Bayliss Ave. in Rockford

ROCKFORD POLICE: Rockford Police responded to 413 Bayliss Av ref. Aggravated Battery w/Firearm. (V) Female (45) transported to RMH w/non-life threatening wound. Shooting was a result of a disturbance between individuals from a party at the residence. Suspect description is a male/black, 5'09", 200lbs, last seen driving from the scene in a blue and white sedan.

UPDATE: A party on Rockford's west side ends with gunfire, sending one woman to the hospital.

The shooting happened just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the 400 block of Bayliss Avenue. Police say the victim is 45 years old. She was taken to Rockford Memorial Hospital and is expected to be ok. Police say a fight broke out at the party and the victim was an unintended target. Police are searching for a suspect that was last seen driving away in a blue and white sedan.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A woman was shot Tuesday night on Rockford's west side.

Police say it happened just before 7:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Bayliss Ave. Officers says she was shot in the lower torso and her condition right now is unknown.

A possible suspect vehicle is a blue over white Lincoln.
