UPDATE: Rockford Apartment Fire Ruled Accidental

UPDATE: The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental. The estimated loss of the accident is $350,000.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Several people who live in a Rockford apartment complex were trapped inside Wednesday night when the building burst into flames.

We've learned they're all okay, but two were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Rockford Fire Department says the fire broke out on the first floor of this building on 3128 Prial Avenue, near Logli on Rockton Avenue. Firefighters are having a tough time putting it out since flames are in the walls. A city bus has been brought in to help keep the 15 or so people who live there warm. The Red Cross will be assisting them. A cause of the fire remains unknown.
