A man driving on West State hit and killed a pedestrian Monday night without even realizing what he had done.
Around 5 p.m. police say they received a 911 call from a driver, who said he had hit something on West State Street. He pulled over and waited for them to arrive. Police found a dead man lying on the side of the street. Witnesses say the victim was walking along the side of West State. The investigation is just starting, but police don't expect to press charges.
