Mexicans who live in the Stateline are getting a chance to register with the government to receive different forms of identification this week. A mobile Mexican Consulate is visiting Belvidere's Community Building on West First Street to provide legal identification for Mexican Nationals... including passports.
This event runs through Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bring proof of Mexican citizenship (a birth certificate or passport), proof of identity (driver's license or resident card), and proof of residency (rent receipt or utility bill).
