Twelve hours and three planes later, some Trans Meridian Airlines passengers are finally home.
The plane was supposed to take off Wednesday at 9 p.m. from Orlando-Sanford Airport in Florida. But after several delays, a cancellation, an emergency landing, and a night sleeping on the terminal floor...they are back in Rockford. Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning the flight touched down, 14 hours late.
One woman had an especially long trip. She went to Sanford to rent a car and drive to Tallahassee to meet her brothers. Then to Gulfport to help her parents from the flood. After all that she was forced to sleep at the airport before she arrived home in Rockford.
