New charges are filed tonight against a Capron couple accused of animal cruelty. The Boone County State's Attorney is now also charging Colin and Marie Slater with felony, for allowing several dogs to live in conditions that led to disease. Two days ago, authorities seized about 60 animals from their farm on Denny Road. Today, the couple plead not guilty in court to three counts of animal cruelty.
