There will soon be some new job opportunities in the technology sector in the stateline.
Four technology centers in the Rockford area are getting grants from the state to train new employees. Patriots' Gateway Community Center is getting the most money, about $47,000. Booker Washington Association, 968-8861 Northern Illinois Center for Adaptive Technology 229-2163 and Promised Land Employment 964-3491 are all also receiving grants.
