A seven-year-old girl is dead after a car crash in Rock County Sunday afternoon
The Rock County Sheriff's Department says the girl died a couple of hours after a car smashed into the car she was riding in on U.S. Highway 14.
The girl was with her mother in the car. Sheriff’s police say the woman pulled out into the intersection but stopped when she saw a car coming. The oncoming car hit the brakes and skidded into the stopped vehicle. The mother suffered minor injuries.
A two-year-old and the woman in the other car were not injured. All of them were wearing seatbelts.
The Sheriff's Department has not released any names, and says speed and alcohol weren't involved in the crash.
