The American Red Cross is already providing relief to the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Thousands of people are staying in shelters in Florida. And Red Cross is preparing to serve 500-thousand hot meals each day.
This is the largest mobilization of resources for a single natural disaster. The Rock River chapter is activating 33 volunteers who may be sent next week.
They're waiting to send them to New Orleans because several volunteers have been helping victims of the Tornado in Stoughton Wisconsin.
