A string of armed robberies has police searching for several suspects. The latest on happened at a gas station early Saturday morning. Rockford police responded to the BP Amoco on the 3400 block of East State Street.

A white male entered and demanded money from the store clerk, then pulled out a knife. The clerk received a cut to the left hand. Police are looking for a white male about 5’8”, 130 pounds. He has brown hair and was wearing a black ski mask.

Rockford police are also looking for two men involved in an armed robbery at a restaurant. Police say two men robbed Tierra Y Mar restaurant on the 800 block of Cunningham Friday afternoon.

The men were armed, no shots were fired and no one was hurt. They did get away with an undisclosed amount of money. Here is who police are looking, for the first suspect is described as a black male, 6’0”, 175 pounds wearing all black and armed with a rifle. The second suspect is described as a white male, five feet eight inches tall weighing 160 pounds.
