ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Leaders at First Lutheran Church in Rockford use music to celebrate the church's 160 years of service to the community.
A concert today showcased the church's magnificent 92 rank, 4 manual double organ with dual consoles. Concert goers watched from the gallery as First Lutheran’s Minister of Music Gregory Gyllsdorff performed both modern and classical pieces.
Several other concerts are planned for this spring to celebrate the church's 160th anniversary. They're all free and open to the public. The next one features the Augustana College Choir on February 24, 2013. For more information: http://firstlutheranrockford.org/
