WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) – Governor Quinn thinks our infrastructure needs a facelift and he’s investing $15 million taxpayer dollars to get it done.
Today the state awarded the Rock River Water Reclamation District two low-interest loans to connect the Village of Winnebago to a larger and better equipped treatment plant. The money will also be used to make some repairs to the existing system, which should help reduce area sewer back-ups. The project is expected to create nearly 200 jobs in the Stateline.
