The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and the group that runs the Skyway agreed to the plan Thursday, and it will go into effect June 17.
Authority chairman John Mitola says motorists have been asking tollway officials for a while to expand I-PASS use to the 7.8 mile Skyway, which runs from Chicago to Indiana.
Officials hope I-PASS use will ease congestion at the Skyway toll plaza, where tolls went up to $2.50 earlier this year.
