Rockford police believe an afternoon shooting may have been gang related.
A juvenile was shot in the back and in the arm. He's hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The shooting happened Tuesday afternoon when a 16-year-old and a friend were walking down Broadway.
Police say they were confronted by two other juveniles. The four exchanged words and started fighting. Police have a 16-year-old suspect in custody and he is charged with mob action and aggravated battery with a firearm.
