Keller also identified the two girls as nine-year-old Krystal Tobias and eight-year-old Laura Hobbs.
Zion Deputy Police Chief Clyde Watkins says the bodies were found by a resident walking in a wooded area this morning in Beulah Park in Zion, a city north of Chicago near the Wisconsin border.
The two girls disappeared Sunday while riding bikes together, and authorities say the girls' parents reported them missing around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Police Chief Doug Malcolm says the stabbings are a heinous crime not just against the children, but the entire community.
