Even though there was only one lucky ticket for the $37.5 million Illinois Lotto jackpot, there were still multiple winners in the city of Freeport.
The Horizon Supermarket in Freeport sold the winning ticket for the largest Illinois Lotto game in almost four years. The supermarket gets one percent of that grand prize, which works out to $375,000.
The Co-owners of the store said they will be reinvesting a lot of the money in the store, but will also take a nice vacation.
Though the winner hasn't claimed his prize yet, the store owners say he is a familiar face. The winner is a regular customer of the store who comes in every day, twice a day, to buy lottery tickets.
