Illinois will be getting a nice present from Wisconsin just in time for the holidays.
The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is sending the Illinois Department of Revenue a check for more than $32 million.
The money is coming as part of a 1972 deal that lets workers pay income taxes in the state where they live, rather than where they work. And it looks like more people are coming from Wisconsin to work in Illinois than the other way around.
