STATELINE (WIFR) -- A new hotline has helped out more than a thousand Stateliners in just a couple of months.
Operators with United Way's 2-1-1 have taken 1,400 phone calls from people on almost everything, from help paying utility bills to suicide prevention.
The organization is hoping to put together a more comprehensive study on how well the helpline is working once it's been in use a little longer, but so far leaders are impressed with the results
