Chemistry students at Auburn High School are finding out how important plastics are.

The Rock Valley Society of Plastics Engineers is presenting a unique lab experience. More than three hundred students are learning about the chemistry of plastics. They're finding out about the history, processing and environmental issues involved with plastics. The students are also being introduced to career opportunities in the plastics industry.

Auburn is one of only 50 schools in the country that will benefit this year from the informative yet entertaining experience.
