Thursday night, Village President Ward Sterett said trustees voted to rescind Monday's approval of a portion of a residential development that was to be built on a flood plain.
Sterett says trustees voted this way after finding a misplaced document from 2001 stating that the developer, Jeff Petry, is only allowed to build 15 homes in the area.
Petry was attempting to build around 80 homes, according to Sterett. Sterett also says he expects Petry to sue the village.
There will be a meeting open to the public next Thursday the 24th at 6:00 p.m. at the Roscoe Village Hall.
