Rockford area employers expect to hire more employees over the next few months.
According to an Employment Outlook Survey released Tuesday by Manpower Employment, 43 percent of the companies said they plan to increase their staff from April to June. While three percent plan to reduce their staff, 51 percent plan to maintain their current staff levels and three percent aren't certain of their hiring plans.
Manpower says employers are much more positive about hiring over the next quarter than they were a year ago. Job prospects appear best in construction, non-durable goods manufacturing, transportation, wholesale/retail trade and public administration.
