A Union Pacific rail grinder scraped the back of a Burlington Northern train around 8 p.m. Friday night. The two trains were at a crossing when the accident happened.
The Burlington Northern train was carrying containers with various items inside. None of the cars derailed, but about a dozen boxes on top of the container train fell off onto the ground.
About 15 to 20 containers were ripped opened and the items scattered over the tracks. A representative from Burlington Northern says this should not have happened and they are investigating.
No one was injured.
