Millions of people have never looked at their credit report because viewing it came with a fee but not for much longer.
On March 1, we'll all be able to get a free copy of our credit report every year. This is all thanks to an amendment to the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Under the law, people can access one free credit report each year from each of the three nationwide credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian and Transunion.
You can order your free credit report online at www.annualcreditreport.com or you can call 877-322-8228.
