Good news for the Chana Post Office on Main Street: it will remain open.

The U.S. Postal Service made the final decision Monday. Thanks to mutual cooperation and negotiations between township officials, the landlord and the postal service say needed repairs and upgrades will allow the facility to remain open.

Art Bacon, manager of post office operations says the agreement allows Chana to continue to have local post office identity while providing a safe environment for our employees and customers.
