Armed Robbery in Rockford

Rockford police need your help in their search in an armed robbery.

It happened a little before 8 a.m. at the Stop-N-Go on south Sixth Street. Rockford police say the suspect entered the store displayed a gun, demanded money and then fled on foot.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt inside the Stop-N-Go, and there’s no word on how much money was taken.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30's. He is about 6”0’, and was least seen wearing a red bandana and blue sweats.
