OREGON (WIFR) -- Hundreds of bras and pieces of lingerie are on display and it's all to benefit the fight against cancer.
Oregon resident Karen Virnoche is running the 11th Annual Breast Yard Sale and all of the money she raises is going to the American Cancer Society.
Maidenform typically donates around 500 pieces of lingerie to Virnoche, but sent 1,000 to this year's collection.
Besides the lingerie and bras, she sells new cloths, purses, record albums, kitchen appliances, furniture, glassware, bicycles and jewelry.
Virnoche is a cancer survivor and has enjoyed her interactions over the years.
"The yard sale has become kind of a safe place for people to come," said Virnoche. "People like to tell their story; either they are the caregiver or they've lost somebody from cancer or they've survived. They come here not only to buy something, but also to talk and I'm here to listen."
The event began Memorial Day weekend and is set to run through June 16. The sale is open daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 1194 West Mud Creek Road.
