A seminar in Rockford gives those thinking of adopting a child some basics on the process.
Josh Yang of Children's Home and Aid Society says the process involves a lot of paperwork. He says it can take between one to two years until the new addition finally arrives.
Those attending tonight are able to sit down and talk with a counselor one on one about international adoptions. He says more and more people are looking overseas to find a child because the waiting list in the United States is so long. But either way, Yang says adopting is a great experience.
