Twenty-year-old Michael Willard is charged with criminal damage likely to cause injury, a felony.

A criminal complaint says Willard's boss at Mercy Assisted Living said Willard became extremely upset when she accused him of stealing food and refusing to work, then sent him home on September 27.

The complaint says that when the boss drove home that night her brakes went out. A mechanic later showed her that her brake line had been cut.

Willard is free on a signature bond and due back in court November 17.
