A popular hidden party spot for local youth ended with party goers being questioned about a murder. At around 2 a.m. about 40 fifteen to 20 year olds were at a party where alcohol was being consumed in the 6400 block of Clikeman Road. Winnebago County Sheriff's department says 4 to 6 males showed up and a verbal argument lead to a physical one. The victim, Eric Flynn allegedly told the uninvited males to leave. Flynn was then stabbed multiple times. Flynn was taken by his friends to Rockford Memorial Hospital where he died. An autopsy is set for Monday morning.
From this death, 18-year-old Jonathon Romero from Rockford has been charged with first degree murder and 19-year-old Adan Ibarra from Rockford is charged with felony obstructing justice. Both are being held in the Winnebago County Jail with a one million dollar bond.
