Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White unveiled a new commemorative license plate in Chicago Monday that pays tribute to the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The plate costs $118, which is $40 more than the regular fee of $78. There will be $25 of the total amount donated to the Sept. 11 fund to help local public safety efforts.
A waving American flag is on the bottom of the plate. In the center at the top is the phrase ‘America Remembers.’ More than 850 motorists have already signed up to get the new plate.
